About the Owner
Lee M. Wilkerson, founder of Crossfire Investigations LLC, established the company in 2000 as a full-service private investigation firm dedicated to providing exceptional investigative services combined with extensive industry knowledge. With over three decades of experience, Lee has a unique blend of expertise in Private Investigation casework, Refinery and Industrial Process Compliance, Operations, Safety, Emergency Response Procedures, and Construction Standards. This diverse background offers our clients and partners a significant advantage in any investigative matter.
Lee’s passion for public service ignited in the late 1970s when he joined a volunteer fire department in South Montgomery, Texas. His work as a firefighter and investigator of motor vehicle accidents and fires on his watch fueled his desire to pursue investigations further. Moving closer to his family in Houston, he served with South East VFD while continuing to develop his investigative skills.
In the mid-1980s, Lee began providing investigative services for attorneys, friends, and family. His career took a pivotal turn in October 1987 when he joined the Oil & Gas industry, offering investigative support to industry professionals. His dedication and skill led him to attend a private investigations course in 1997, taught by Morris Covin of Morris Covin & Associates. This experience led to his licensing as a Private Investigator, allowing him to pursue his passion.
In 2000, Lee founded Crossfire Investigations, earning state licensing (A-10789). After facing a battle with cancer in 2006, he temporarily let his license expire but remained committed to his passion. Following recovery, Lee worked with the Texas Department of Public Safety to reinstate his license, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his craft.
In 2021 Lee retired from the Oil & Gas Industry after 34 years.
Today, still pursuing his passion in Private Investigations, Lee leverages his extensive background, advanced investigative skills, and industry knowledge to serve clients effectively, ensuring they gain the insights and advantages needed to succeed.
